Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-21
This policy describes what BeatCut collects, why, and how long it is kept.
Account data: email address, name and (for Google sign-in) the profile identifier returned by Google. Billing data: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, purchase history and credit ledger. Job data: the configuration you submit, the files you upload, and the resulting video.
Source videos and uploaded music are temporary. They are deleted from storage as soon as the job reaches a final state (done, failed or cancelled), and unsubmitted drafts are deleted after 24 hours. A storage lifecycle rule deletes anything left under the temporary prefix after one day.
Key frames extracted from your footage are sent to a third-party AI provider (DeepSeek, accessed through the command code gateway) to describe the visual content for shot selection. The provider processes these frames to return tags; per its terms the data is not used to train models. Audio is analysed on our own machines. We do not perform speech recognition, so dialogue is not transcribed.
Card data never touches our servers. Payments are processed by Stripe, which receives the information needed to complete checkout and manage your subscription.
Generated videos for free accounts are deleted 24 hours after they are produced. Paid accounts keep outputs longer while their plan is active. Deleting your account removes your videos, uploads and account records.
We use a session cookie required for sign-in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
You can access, correct or delete your data from the account settings, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA.
